The Trickster

I’ve always been fascinated by Trickster type in stories. They are simultaneously the most hated and the one many rely on to find a clever solution out of a problem. And despite their penchant for betrayal, their friends give them the benefit of the doubt time and time again.

Rabbit is the clever troublemaker in various stories, either causing grief for the other animals or finding clever ways to get what he wants. He is a far cry from what we see in traditional American literature, which paints rabbits as timid and cautious beings. Perhaps there’s more to these creatures than they let on…
