Using My Artwork for Tattoos
People who have helped Indigenous Communities: 3
If you’ve found your way here, you’re likely interested in getting my artwork tattooed. I am not a tattoo artists, but I am humbled you love my art enough to want it tattooed and I am open to working with you and your chosen tattoo artist in making something great.
Please read below for the guidelines in using my artwork for tattoos.
1) For tattoo work, I only ask that instead of paying me directly for its use, you send me proof of donating $25 or more to an Indigenous nonprofit group.
The Native Youth Center (NAYA) is how I got my start sharing my work and it is thanks to them that I have been able to do more shows and have more opportunities over the year. That is why I want us to continue to support the community together so Indigenous talent and voices can thrive.
2) After donating, your chosen tattoo artist has my permission to use/edit the artwork on a one-time basis for you, the donor, so that the tattoo can become uniquely yours.
They may not use it again without reaching out to me for permission, they cannot use the design on other clients, nor can they claim the design as their own. If the final work is shared in any capacity, they must attribute the original design to Jonni Ketcher or kananeski.
3) Please share any photos or video of the final tattoo—I would love to see it.
While this is not a requirement, I am always beyond flattered when people find my work inspiring enough to want it inked into their body. Seeing how other artists put their spin on it or interpret my work is also a treat and would fill my cup.

Two major storm systems struck western Alaska in rapid succession, bringing record flooding, extreme winds, and extensive damage from Kwigillingok to Kotzebue. Homes have been damaged and destroyed, critical infrastructure compromised, and subsistence resources disrupted. As weather conditions remain unstable, affected communities continue responding to urgent needs while a comprehensive damage assessment is still underway.
